Nice to meet you.
Born in Japan, I met my Korean husband while studying abroad in the UK, and came to live in Korea. Currently, I work in marketing at a Korean company.
Although I've lived in Korea for quite a long time, I sometimes remember that I'm still slightly outside of this society. In fact, I may have never once felt like an insider. Indeed, living in a foreign country means that even after living there for a long time, things like the nuances of language and how to read the atmosphere of a place don't fully become one's own.

In This Blog
In this blog, I write about what I've felt as a foreigner living in Korea, the small discrepancies I notice in daily life, and my thoughts on the city, people, and language. It's like looking at things that catch my attention in daily life from a slight distance.
There are many things that cannot be simply dismissed as whether I like or dislike Korea, or how it compares to Japan. Living on the outside while remaining on the inside. I hope to quietly preserve what I see from that ambiguous place.
