Hanae Monster's Return to Mameshiba no Taigun

On January 8, 2025, Hanae Monster has finally returned to the Japanese girl idol group Mameshiba no Taigun (豆柴の大群)! She was an early member of Mameshiba and was loved by fans, so I was also very happy with this news. Her absence left a huge void for both the team and the fans.

Hanae's Departure and the Shock

Hanae Monster debuted through TBS's popular entertainment program Wednesday's Downtown on December 19, 2019, as part of the 'MONSTER IDOL' project. Her cute appearance, excellent singing ability, and dance skills quickly captured attention,and she became a key member of Mameshiba no Taigun.

However, on December 25, 2023, she left the group after her last stage with Miyuki. The shock at that time was beyond words. Especially Kaede Phoenix's departure must have had an even greater impact on her.

The 'MUST CHANGE' project was an internal competition program planned by WACK's President Watanabe, aiming to instill a sense of crisis in the existing members and encourage skill improvement. However, during this process, the members faced significant mental pressure, and the most sensitive, Kaede, decided to leave the team at the end of 2022. She was a beloved member by the fans, making her departure a huge shock to the entire team.

Hanae must have also been deeply affected by this situation. For her, who regarded Mameshiba no Taigun as another family and part of herself, accepting changes like team dissolution or mergers would have been difficult. When something you love changes or disappears, one might wish to let everything go and leave, right? I wonder if that was her mental state. (Of course, this is my personal opinion.)

Kuro-chan and the Prelude to Return

In 2024, WACK’s founder President Watanabe resigned, and Kuro-chan was appointed as the new producer. Kuro-chan wanted to return to the roots of Mameshiba, and it seems there were behind-the-scenes contacts with Hanae during this process.

In particular, on the official YouTube channel of Mameshiba no Taigun, a video was uploaded in mid-2023 where Kuro-chan, in the role of advisor, had deep conversations with the remaining members (Nao, Aika, Leona, Momochi) at a pork belly restaurant. From this, it felt like Kuro-chan had already been in contact with Hanae. Could it be that Kuro-chan had Hanae's return in mind from that time?

Ultimately, on January 8, 2025, Hanae officially returned to the team amidst fans' expectations. This marked the first case in WACK’s history where a former member rejoined the team, generating a lot of buzz. This not only reflects Hanae's influence but also proves Kuro-chan’s exceptional planning ability.

Green and short hair are Hanae Monster's trademarks. Her cute appearance, outstanding vocal ability, and intense performances make her shine.
